PURPOSE:

In support of the Warehouse and S/R Department, understands all activities associated with fork lift and warehouse procedures and with all inbound and outbound processes.  Responsibilities include training associates, providing guidance on proper operation and maintenance of equipment, completion of paperwork, housekeeping/safety and suggestions for improvement.  Performs everyday essential duties as required and defined below.  Provides extended leadership on respective shift in absence of supervisor. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Responsible for the integrity of the inventory control area 

  • Move skids of finished and unfinished products throughout parts of the factory 

  • Must be cautious and aware at all times of workers, equipment and products. 

  • Shrink-wrap finished goods/ packaging and delivering. 

  • Place finished product into PT1, PT2 as needed. 

  • Change pallet from wood to plastic/ Create pallet tickets. 

  • Check paperwork (Receiving paperwork against product coming in), QA check. 

  • Scan and note on log. 

  • Use a forklift in a safe manner 

  • Label incoming freight. 

  • Follows all safety & GMP rules and regulations.  

  • Responsible for monitoring CCP as needed. 

  • Receiving Tankers when they arrive. 

  • Check in drivers, document loads, valid paperwork for delivery

  • Required to read, understand, follow and communicate all customer specifications 

  • All other duties as assigned. 

  • Tank Reading/ Inventory

  • In Supervisor’s absence, fills in and leads employees related to all work/process related duties and ensures employees work towards achievement of objectives 

  • Required to immediately report any employee conduct/performance issue to a member of management. 

  • Trainer for department on duties and responsibilities.  Engages employees who need additional training. 

  • Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks. 

  • Provides guidance and leadership to support members of team as Production Operator and is responsible for safety of team

  • Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Provides guidance and leadership to support members of team and is responsible for food safety/product quality of team

  • Ability to work any schedule and overtime as required to perform duties.   

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential Criteria

  • 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing setting (experience in warehouse and operating a fork truck preferable)

  • At least one year of previous demonstration of strong leadership skills

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Working knowledge of Windows based software 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION

Base hourly rate of 23.00/hr. The Base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
