Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing team. This role will be based in Shanghai.
As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will gain hands-on experience, with guidance and mentorship, across a spectrum of marketing activities in support of building MMC and MMB’s brand profile, attracting clients, shaping trends and building a strong internal culture. Additionally, you will participate in the ideation and execution of country marketing campaigns, digital marketing and social media initiatives, as well as client engagement events, media relations and internal communications.
This requires effective translation of the go-to-market strategies into actionable and measurable marketing programs, and reach our existing clients and new prospects with flawless execution of the brand and demand generation campaigns across various marketing channels.
The success of this role will be measured based on solid business partnerships, increase in inbound enquiries for the business, and positive brand experience among our colleagues, clients and communities.
We will count on you to:
- Build the Marsh and Mercer brands through marketing, communication and PR/ Media in China market.
- Perform and optimize day-to-day marketing campaigns that involve various marketing channels including but not limited to: direct mail, email, online (website), digital / social, online / offline events and sales enablement.
- Collaborate with regional and China marketing and communications team to ensure local marketing campaigns and content are consistent with corporate brand and editorial guidelines, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Manage local PR and media relations, including drafting and distributing press releases, pitching for media interviews and coverages, organizing media briefings and roundtable.
- Execute client-facing flagship online / offline events, including webinars, seminars, roadshows, sponsorships, associations etc., to deliver consistent brand and client experiences throughout the engagements.
- Work closely with regional marketing COE teams to ensure compliance with regional / global processes.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline.
- Solid corporate experience, especially coming from a B2B environment.
- At least 10+ years of experience in a Corporate Communications or Marketing Communications Manager
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing and/ or internal communications or corporate communications strategies and plans to deliver sustainable results.
- Commercially astute and able to work with the business on deriving leads to drive business development.
- Ability to think laterally and creatively and superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact in a team environment with all levels of employees including senior management. Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence across the business and serve as a strategic thinker to senior management.
- Outstanding project management skill, in planning ahead the different milestones to achieve and execute in a timely manner with strong commitment on quality. Strong communications, writing and project management skills.
- Disciplined and can work autonomously to drive the right business outcomes in a timely manner.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in PR and media relations, conceptualization and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including email, digital, social, online and offline events, and production/localization of marketing content.
- Exceptional local social and digital marketing knowledge and experience including SEM, SEO, and Wechat ecosystem.
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) proficiency is mandatory.
