TL@NTU is seeking a Senior Principal Research Scientist to lead a to lead the Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology (CQST). The successful candidate will drive innovative research projects, mentor junior researchers, and contribute to advancing TL@NTU’s strategic research goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define strategic R&D priorities and collaborate with TL researchers to shape and guide research directions.

• Manage the research unit’s financial and resource planning to sustain long-term expertise and operational excellence.

• Provide oversight and guidance on the transition of research outcomes

• Lead technically and support the development of Research Directors, Programme Managers, and group members through mentorship.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Physics, Computer Science Engineering or Quantum related area with 20 years’ experience in the field.

• Experienced in managing a technical department or research center.

• Strong analytical, transdisciplinary and systems thinking, as well as influencing skills. Insightful, visionary and agile.

• Innovative and proactive in identifying research opportunities.
