Studio Manager – Commercial Design 

 

Reporting of the Role 
 
This role reports to Francis Hemingway  
 
Overview of job 
 

We’re looking for a new Studio Manager to join our team.  
 
You will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Design Team managing the flow of creative work across the Commercial design teams - Marketing, Digital & Photography to ensure all work is completed on time, efficiently, and to the highest possible creative standards. 

 

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day studio operations and the traffic of workflow to ensure the creative product is best in class. Working closely with the Head of Design you will organise, manage and coordinate resources and the distribution of work to meet our business needs.

Measures of success –  
 
In the first few months, you would have:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our brands, our competitors and the market in which we operate. 

  • Reviewed the teams process and workflow, highlighting issues and implementing process tweaks 

  • Shown ability to collaborate brilliantly and communicate effectively with your peers and key stakeholders across the business. 

  • Overseen end to end campaigns, from concept and ideation through to production and delivery across a range of channels, making sure that workflow has been as efficient as possible. 

Responsibilities of the role 

  • Scheduling projects and organising resources, setting accurate timelines for all jobs. Lead lead daily/weekly resource meetings with the Teams & Design Managers 

  • Forecasting, coordinating and scaling the resources of the creative team to ensure that projects are delivered on time. 

  • Coordinating with all the necessary teams to organise and facilitate the creative and digital production and delivery processes, including providing timely project communications between relevant teams. 

  • Assigning projects to team members based on availability, expertise and experience to ensure high-quality output and optimal use of resources  

What you will need 
 
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:  

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment an in a similar role 

  • Strong working knowledge of creative and production functions, as well as clear understanding of the creative planning and production processes. 

  • Have a keen eye for detail and impeccable organisational skills and time-keeping. 

  • Team player and able to deal with tight deadlines and work under pressure. 

  • Knowledge and experience of project/traffic management software is highly desirable.
