CACI seeks to add a Communications Field Engineer to its Technical Team in Tucson, Arizona.  Responsible for applying technical knowledge and practical concepts, processes, and methods related to technical systems and components.  Provides support for the design, development, integration, testing, documentation, implementation, and sustainment of a variety of hardware, software, and integrated product solutions. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Perform a variety of technical functions related to sustainment engineering activities such as equipment integration, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting, test procedures, and test equipment.
  • Install power and data cabling (Ethernet, fiber optic, and others).
  • Terminate and solder cabling as necessary.
  • Install network and communications equipment, troubleshoot electronics to determine root cause for malfunctions and perform modifications to electronic equipment as directed.
  • Document existing hardware configuration, generate redlines drawings
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Maintain and adhere to operational procedures, follow work orders and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation.
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Work with third party engineering personnel on integration of new and upgraded systems.



You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an TS/SCI.

  • 3-5 years experience supporting C4 communication systems as a DoD contractor.
  • Able to use basic hand and machine tools.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and to work from diagrams, electronics schematics and rough sketches.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Focus on items less than 20” away, seeing three dimensions, and distinguishing all colors.
  • Lift 25lbs


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience using Computer Aided Design software (.i.e AutoCAD, SketchUp ect.)
  • Programing languages, specifically C++ or C Sharp
  • Security+ or CTS-I or BISCI Technician
  • Familiarity with Audio Video and KVM Systems
  • BA/BS in computer information systems with 3 years’ experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $126,900
