Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer. This position will be located fully on-site at our Aeronautics Sector in Palmdale, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Assurance organization. This position’s standard work schedule is a 4/10 work week, to allow employees every Friday off.
Example Responsibilities:
Responsible for the implementation of Mission Assurance principles across the program to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and NG requirements
Support coordination and implementation of all engineering activities, ensuring all individual IPT plans are sufficient quality, completeness, and detail (technical, cost, schedule)
Execute an integrated mission assurance plan for the program along with supporting plans that align with contractual requirements and stakeholder goals
Advocates and implements continuous improvement opportunities, identifying and executing tasks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of NG processes
Investigates quality problems, issues, and failures through root cause investigation and corrective action implementation
Performs technical issue assessment, provides technical guidance, and plans for resolution
Support and provide guidance for all program engineering processes from project inception to project completion
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Quality Engineer (T01)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by March 2027.
Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or similar STEM degree.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Current Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Inactive Secret or Top Secret clearance, debriefed within the last two years
Pay Range:
$69,400 - $104,000/year
