What would you do? We are building a Capability Center where manual processes are transformed through continuous drive to eliminate, streamline and automate manual processes. Within the Capability Center, we are also creating accounting expertise to deliver value to the business through accurate and timely financials, analysis and insights of the Accounts Payable function. We are looking for accounting professionals with industry experience to create accurate and efficient processes that are optimized for risk and controls. We work closely with business partners across Finance and Operational functions on strategic initiatives, which ensures our accounting processes can adapt and scale ahead of business needs. General Accounting practices The Financial Tracking and Reporting team focuses on providing the financial controls and reporting in order to effectively manage CFM activities. This includes providing project-level cost and expense reporting, invoice generation and tracking, project financial tracking, reporting and analytics. The role requires a good understanding of general ledger, balance sheet, statutory reporting, client reporting, fund reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FPNA), budgeting and forecasting.
What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent practical experience 5 years of experience with public accounting and/or industry CPA, CA, or other professional accounting accreditation Experience with SAP ERP systems A/P accounting experience Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to lead/drive complex initiatives Excellent business acumen with the ability to deal with ambiguity Excellent technical accounting, analytical, project management, and process improvement skills Excellent communication skills, ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Roles and Responsibilities: - Manage close activities and present month-end results to management. - Advise on financial reports required by government regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. - Identify opportunities to centralize, eliminate, or automate activities. - Review processes and implement controls to ensure we are mitigating risk for Google. - Manage, establish, implement global processes for the accounting of initiatives (ensuring SOX compliance and operational excellence), and prepare for, and assist with internal, SOX, and external audits. - You will collaborate with our global team and advocate best practices.
