Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Jr. Supply Chain Planner who ensures the seamless coordination and delivery of all supply chain activities, supporting the Integrated Maintenance Project Plan with precision and efficiency. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures the submission of all Supply Chain inputs required to define and issue the Integrated Maintenances Project Plan 

  • Ensures the project material delivery (including spare parts and repairing of failed material) in accordance with the project plan by coordinating with all the stakeholders

  • Ensures distribution of Logistic Plan & Inventory Report to the project teams.

  • Coordinates with the Engineering & Maintenances Managers to ensure all procurement activities including Service Level Agreements (SLA) are developed, completed and secure, supporting the process with the development of associated purchased technical specifications (PTS).

  • Supports the Engineering Manager in assessing Obsolescence impact on future maintenance activities and Life Cycle Costs of TSM assets

  • Oversees the procurement process of materials & services and establishment of delivery sequences to departments according to the maintenance plan order priorities and anticipated availability of material. 

  • Oversees logistics management ,import & export activities applications & custom clearances, so that the placed orders are delivered on time.

  • Plans, organizes, and controls all supply chain activities connected with the flow of materials & services into and out of Hitachi ERP/EAM system (SAP & Maximo) in coordination with warehouse supervisor and maintenances team leaders

  • Ensures the Client -Capital spare parts Replacement Plan is created and makes recommendations on initiatives

  • Monitoring of parts during the repair cycle from the contractor, including evaluation of quotes from supplier, timings, and expectation of stock return

  • Works closely with the Warranty and Repair team to ensure spares are expedited quickly through the repair process

  • Develops and manages the process for managing the repair loop for Overhaul Materials in coordination with the project team

  • Is responsible for ensuring all systems are up to date with stock locations and availability of spares

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must be proficient in Asset Management , Materials Requirement Planning “MRP” Software SAP &  Maximo (CMMS)

  • Must be proficient MS office tools, 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Fully bi-lingual (Greece-English)

  • Ability to work under continuous pressure.

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external clients

  • Minimum (3+) years of experience in Material Management, Production Planning experience, Purchasing and/or Scheduling

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
