CBA’s Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing equities, markets, lending and transaction banking execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business customers.

Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) is responsible for the optimisation and active management of IB&M’s balance sheet and capital as well as supporting the pricing and origination of non-retail lending across the Group.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

 

• Deliver high-impact analysis using analytical tools like Python, SQL, SAS and Tableau to inform decision-making
• Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance risk-adjusted returns and drive efficient use of IB&M’s balance sheet and Board-approved risk concentration limits

• Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Science, Computing Sciences, etc.)
• Proven experience in data analytics and visualisation, ideally within Financial Services (using tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Teradata, Tableau, etc.)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
• A curious mindset, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Sound judgement and integrity, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• A passion for data, analytics and AI with the ability to apply emerging technologies to solve problems, enhance decision-making and client outcomes
