Reporting to the Ruminant Business Manager, the Territory Manager - Dairy, is responsible for supporting an established and growing customer base of local dairy producers. You promote our brand and branded products and conduct all matters in a manner consistent with the company’s Corporate Values of Integrity, Trust, Curiosity, Inclusivity and Passion.
The Territory Manager supports a team and a geographic region as it relates to the sales plan. The role includes call reports, prospecting, and supporting the dealer network within the assigned geographical area. Overarching you support the larger regional sales plan.

Role Responsibilities:
- Build committed and long-term partnerships with customers.
- Responsible for growing the business portfolio within the assigned region.
- In conjunction with the nutrition team, the individual will be responsible for balancing diets to maximize productivity and profitability to dairy producers.
- Support and coach sales representatives in the area
- Provide insight for sales strategies, campaigns, leading activities, and growth opportunities
- Support cross-sectional team members in ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop positive relationships with industry professionals and producers.
- Provide strategic business planning input as requested.
- Portray an image of leadership and service to the dairy and feed industry.
- Act as a Trouw Nutrition representative at customer events, tradeshows and conferences.
- Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS :
- Diploma or BSc in agricultural science or relevant degree.
- Industry experience in a customer facing role.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized and demonstrated time management skills.
- Flexibility and a willingness to be coached and learn processes.
- Innovative and open to change.
- Guides teams on what is expected of them, in terms of behavior as well as results, and help them to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Assesses team member capability in relation to sales call execution competencies and agrees on action to develop sales call execution capabilities
- Provides balanced and actionable feedback in relation to behaviors and how they can be improved
- Is aware of (commercial and non-commercial) development needs in their team and agrees on action plans for future development activities.
- Understands that coaching is also business development and trains and educates team to act upon this.
- Able to quickly adapt to changes in the workplace or environment or changes in the way things are done, and able to inspire others to do the same.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is considered an asset
