The Senior Brand Manager oversees the branding and advertising strategy to support the property-level performance goals for their designated regional portfolio. This position is responsible for the execution of community-specific marketing plans, managing vendor relationships, brand advocacy, and overall agile marketing strategy while effectively collaborating with key stakeholders in cross-functional teams to drive operational performance. This individual must have a keen understanding of digital marketing concepts, such as SEM, SEO, and GA4. The Senior Brand Manager will navigate both an active hands-on approach to responsibilities while also serving as a leader within the team structure.

  • Essential Functions/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
    •    Play active role in cross-functional teams and working effectively with internal and external partners/stakeholder to understand priorities, goals, and manage stakeholder expectations.
    •    Develop and execute cost-effective community-specific marketing plans focusing on agile marketing tactics to successfully meet the unique needs of each community.
    •    Drive overall paid advertising strategy in partnership with digital agencies and ILS partners focusing on qualified lead generation and brand awareness.
    •    Understand and correctly articulate search engine marketing, search engine optimization, website performance analytics, and other marketing related metrics to stakeholders.
    •    Management of overall brand strategy and compliance.
    •    Ensure creative deliverables from creative agency partners are reflective of Mill Creek brand standards while also appropriately conveying the unique story of each community.
    •    Collaborate with vendor partners to create marketing deliverables to support brand awareness efforts. 
    •    Remain current on the overall market landscape in the rental housing space, including but not limited to advancements in prop tech, competitors, marketing initiatives, and more.
    •    Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with Equal Housing Opportunity/Fair Housing advertising rules, regulations, and guidelines.
    •    Additional responsibilities as determined by supervisor.

  • Education and/or Experience
    •    Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or similar industries.
    •    Minimum of five years of multifamily marketing experience required.

  • Skills/Specialized Knowledge
    •    Must have working knowledge of SEM, SEO, social media, GA4, email marketing, and online campaigns.
    •    Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to use Microsoft products such as Word, Teams, Excel, Power Point as well as a comfort level and ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members, including senior and executive leadership.
    •    Must be able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced work environment with consistently shifting priorities, while maintaining attention to details, deadlines, and budgets. This includes the ability to work independently and as part of team.
    •    Must have demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, including but not limited to experience in directly managing team members and achieving alignment with key stakeholders.

    Other Requirements
    •    Strong background and working knowledge of the multifamily real estate industry and an understanding of marketing & training relative to day-to-day property operations and portfolio performance. 
    •    Knowledge of Entrata or other property management software is a plus.
