How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Job Description Summary: The Rehabilitation & Heavy Repair Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient rehabilitation and heavy repair of fleet assets.  This includes Airgas Nitrogen Services (ANS) pumpers, trailers, Intermodal Container (IMO), skids, Trailer Mounted Vaporizer Unit(TMVU), power units, and other specialized equipment found in a nitrogen services fleet servicing petrochemical and Oil & gas industries.   They assist in developing and maintaining “Best Practices” in local shops, internal and external, on-board and train new hires, and manage mechanics’ continuous training.  

  • Manage major maintenance schedules with both internal and external refurbishment shops.

  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to direct assets to facilities for life-extending upgrades, major repairs, and overhauls.

  • Provide trending indicators based on inspections of units undergoing rehabilitation for signs of abuse, damage, or premature wear.

  • Manage warranty dispositions for item failures within warranty periods.

  • Ensure compliance with the Airgas Industrial Management System (IMS) and general maintenance policies.

  • Adhere to performance metrics and regulatory requirements including DOT, ASME, CGA, Environmental, and OSHA standards.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year equipment plan for refurbishments, upgrades, and replacements.

  • Create and maintain a strategy for the inventory of spare parts and program equipment.

  • Oversee the issuance, disposal, and return of spare parts as needed.

  • Coordinate and complete equipment audits throughout the year, maintaining accurate records for future reference.

  • Collaborate with engineering and the QCT Manager for future equipment upgrades and enhancements.

  • Maintain strong vendor relationships for parts sourcing, repair diagnostics, and warranty services.

  • Assist with vendor negotiations, pricing, and coordinate training and development programs.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least five years of oilfield or industrial work experience

  • Previous management experience

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment (cryogenic pumps/power units)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous mechanic experience preferred

  • Previous experience working with third party contractors
