Overview 

The Tech Engagement Program Manager is responsible for managing key engagement activities, and operations initiatives for M&T Tech to keep a large-scale organization closely connected, engaged, and aligned across divisions and teams. The scope includes helping to create and execute programs and events to elevate Tech’s strategy and work across teams, the Bank, and the community and managing the operations of space to drive outcomes related to organizational engagement, culture and collaboration, and organizational efficiency. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage engagement programs and events that connect and activate key stakeholders, including senior leaders and managers, in critical Tech organizational initiatives 
  • Design, manage, and operate engagement process and channels to optimize and activate our Tech Hubs for diverse stakeholders. 
  • Develop and produce engagement assets, including presentations, executive summaries and reports, articles, and program material.  
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and teams for engagement strategies, programming, and assets for critical Bank-wide or divisional projects.  
  • Coordinate agenda and design of hybrid meetings, workshops, town halls, and other stakeholder engagement events.  
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. 
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. 
  • Complete other related duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience 
  • Ability to deliver in an innovative and start-up culture acting with autonomy 
  • Excellent analytical ability 
  • Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with program design and testing, workshop facilitation, and strategy development 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for business partner relationships within and outside the organization 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional communication experience at many different levels 
  • Self-motivated, results driven, and well organized 
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment 

Education and Experience Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Planning, Creative Studies, Business Administration or related field 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience 
  • Technology and/or banking/financial industry experience 
  • Portfolio of experience that demonstrates strong engagement capabilities across a diverse range of projects 
  • Experience with financial, regulatory and/or process analysis, and technical writing 
  • Curious and innovative 

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
