As Director of Account Management & Business Development, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key accounts and broker partners, actively managing the performance of the accounts, business development efforts, and ensuring the seamless execution of underwriting processes. You will work directly with key accounts stakeholders to address daily issues and develop strategies for both ongoing operations and growth of the NAC Business.

How you will create an impact

  • Cultivate relationships with current and potential Key Accounts/Clients and broker partners.
  • Directly oversee Account Managers daily interactions and help drive issue resolution for the key accounts concerns.
  • Oversee the business development pipeline, including tracking KPIs and providing regular status updates.
  • Identify key accounts' business needs and strategize for both routine operations and growth opportunities.
  • Continuously assess the relationship UW health, implementing corrective and preventive actions driving UW discipline culture.
  • Establish internal SLAs and procedures with relevant stakeholders to meet external SLAs.
  • Monitor and ensure timely responses to client requests from Account Managers. (pricing, T&Cs reviews, Marketing Material reviews, etc.)
  • Manage the preparation and filing of policy documents and terms & conditions, liaising with Actuarial, Legal, and Compliance departments as necessary.
  • Manage billing/invoicing and reconciliation process, with Key Accounts/Clients and Issuing Offices supported by Account Managers.
  • Collaborate with the Multinational and various internal teams for policy processing, bookings, and overall compliance.
  • Facilitate audit responses by collaborating with IT, privacy, security, and compliance teams.
  • Develop and maintain communication strategies with key accounts, including organizing workshops and preparing business proposals and presentations for quarterly reviews.

What you will need to succeed

  • Strong relationship-building, leadership, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a large global organization preferred.
  • Underwriting experience on Personal Insurance products desirable, with over 5+ years in the field. The applicant should provide tangible examples of significant UW experience for personal lines products such as Travel Insurance, lifestyle products and Extended Warranty.
  • Sales/account development success desired, with tangible examples of achievement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in NAC / Fee-based products distributed directly to banks and through sponsors.
  • Insurance or Financial Industry Knowledge and experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
