CACI is seeking a talented Electro-Optical Technician II to join our Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) team in Bozeman, MT. AVT is a fast-growing technology company that is a global leader in counter unmanned aerial systems, high-tech camera systems, and software development. AVT manufactures best-in-class gyro-stabilized gimbal systems designed for a wide variety of ground, maritime, and aerial-based applications. We specialize in fully integrated solutions for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and counter drone operations for the defense and aerospace industry. Our pioneering systems are supporting airborne, ground, and maritime missions around the world.

The Opportunity:
The primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test gyro-stabilized camera system assemblies and entire gimbal systems for the Ascent Vision Technologies manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Technician will also be responsible for working and assisting with the following: inspections, Quality Management Systems (QMS), shipping, Return Material Authorization’s (RMA), and other projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assembly and calibration of gyro-stabilized camera systems.

  • Test and repair of commercial, military, and other customer aerospace components, subassemblies, and systems.

  • Responsible for reading and using design drawings, build procedures, guidelines and following standard practices to ensure product specifications are met.

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Other activities as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred

  • Experience in electronic and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing assembly and experience with precision tools in delicate manufacturing and/or repair operations is preferred

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair processes related to manufacturing electro-mechanical products

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must possess excellent eye-hand coordination

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must have the discipline to follow written and verbal directions closely

  • Must be able to sit and focus for long periods

  • Must be able to explain issues encountered during manufacturing and work with appropriate individuals to solve the problem

  • Must adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and 5S principles at all times

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$41,700 - $83,400
