Role purpose and core accountabilities

As part of a geographically diverse network management team, this role is accountable for the strategic oversight, risk management, and continuous improvement of sub-custodian and market infrastructure relationships, ensuring service quality, regulatory alignment, and operational resilience.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Network risk ownership and governance: Within existing oversight processes, Identify, assess, monitor, and escalate market, agent bank, and infrastructure risks, and drive mitigating actions in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers.

  • Market expertise and advocacy: Develop and maintain deep, firsthand knowledge of assigned markets’ settlement practices, safekeeping models, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure evolution.

  • Relationship and performance management: Establish and maintain relationships with sub-custodians, correspondent banks, and market entities, holding them accountable for service delivery, transparency, and continuous improvement.

  • Change, efficiency, and client support: Partner with operational, product, and client teams to implement market or regulatory change, improve operating models, and support specific client or market‑driven requests.

  • Project and initiative participation: Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives including State Street change, agent bank RFPs, operating requirement changes, due diligence reviews, and market information deliverables.

  • Demonstrate highly effective written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with regular interaction at senior management and industry level

Education & Preferred qualifications

  • Officer with 2+ years’ experience in Network Management, Product, Market Infrastructure or Operations.

  • Consultative, credible communicator capable of influencing internal stakeholders and agent banks.

  • Proven change agent with track record of delivery
