Department Overview

The Operations team is responsible for the processes and infrastructure supporting the firm's investment activity across strategies, products, and markets globally. Partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Risk, Technology, and external counterparties (prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators), the team manages the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture and settlement, position and cash reconciliations, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting.

Role Overview

Verition is seeking a motivated Operations Specialist to join its FX Operations team. The Specialist will be responsible for daily PM support across FX related trade flow. The role involves close coordination with portfolio managers, risk, product control, settlements, fund administration, technology, and operations. The ideal candidate has worked in a trade support role in the past, is detail oriented, organized, and responsive — someone who can take ownership of issues and handle a fast-paced, multi-PM environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations across internal systems, external platforms, and Prime Brokers.
• Escalate and drive timely resolution of outstanding breaks.
• Identify process gaps and partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
• Track and manage trade lifecycle events including expiries, cashflows, and marking positions.
• Support trade capture for FX strategies.
• Investigate and resolve booking discrepancies, P&L inquiries, and trade breaks.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in investment management or fund operations.
• Working knowledge of production FX spot, forwards, NDFs, swaps, and exotic FX options.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle.
• Familiarity with OMS platforms and prime broker portals — Bloomberg AIM, Orchestrade, or Geneva experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
