Basic Position Description:

The Porter will be working in a mid to large volume facility. In this position, the porter will keep the building and property in a clean and orderly condition.

Primary Job Functions:

Perform routine custodial duties to include sweeping, mopping and potentially vacuuming floors Empty production trash receptacles and dispose trash into compactors and/or dumpsters Clean spills as appropriate Deep clean floor level reserve locations as scheduled Deep clean other areas and equipment as assigned. Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances and outside areas Disinfect all surfaces as assigned Wash windows

 Basic Job Functions

Maintain inventory of cleaning agents and equipment Report any needs or concerns to the appropriate staff Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Perform other duties as requested by the department lead/supervisor and or manager

Basic Qualifications:

To be eligible colleague must be currently meeting or exceeding in all performance areas (productivity, quality, attendance, safety, teamwork) Must be able to work overtime as required to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally. Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop on a continuous basis. Ability to frequently and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally to 75 pounds with assistants. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be certified or have ability to be certified on all equipment needed to complete job tasks. Able to work within a team and work independently with minimal supervision to complete assignments within established schedules and deadlines.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $23.56

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
