Intel's Data Center Requirements team develops and deploys engineering software solutions that directly support active programs across the entire Data Center roadmap, working with high level stakeholders such as architects, program managers, and execution teams.

The Software Development Intern contributes to AI-enhanced requirements engineering by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to benefit both Platform Architecture and Memory organizations. The selected candidate will participate in intelligent automation development, machine learning-driven data analysis, and may assist in creating innovative AI-powered tools that maintain Intel's standards of creativity, quality, and integrity.

The software role requires experience with web design and development, scripting, database work, data structures, as well as a thorough knowledge of the software development process. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented, independent worker who is passionate about quality of output to produce results with minimal supervision and guidance.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining SLA in the current web environment while also delivering high quality new features on customer requests.
• Development and customization of existing software tools and methods.
• Power BI development with a focus on user experience and quick, clear access to relevant information
• Designing creative solutions to issues and feature requests.
• Bug fixing and responding to user issues.
• Continually strive to uphold and improve standards of code quality across our codebases.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (at least 1 year remaining before graduation).

6+ months of experience in

• Web design and development (front-end/back-end) through coursework or projects.
• Programming/scripting languages such as Python, gained through academic or personal projects.
• Working with Git for source control and working with remotes (e.g. GitHub).
• Data concepts (data architecture, data modeling, and data engineering) through coursework or projects.
• Advanced English level.

Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• Experience developing interface applications using Vue.js and the surrounding ecosystem (Nuxt) through coursework or personal projects.
• Familiarity with Angular framework.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience working with JavaScript/Typescript.
• Exposure to Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience consuming them in projects.
• Familiarity with Django web framework.
• Interested in data visualization and dashboard development with focus on usability and performance.
• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose technical issues independently.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of relevant industry job experience, internship experience, and/or schoolwork/classes/research.
