The US Medical Director, Gastrointestinal Malignancies is a key member of the Medical Matrix Team and responsible for the medical impact of an asset. This role supports development of the asset medical strategy and leads Medical Affairs Plan for GI Tumors, including rectal and colon cancers. This role involves oversight of multiple aspects of medical affairs activities, including insights generation, external expert engagement, and pre-launch activities. This role reports to the US Medical Affairs Lead – Dostarlimab.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Lead the development of the US Medical Plan for GI malignancies, in alignment with overall Asset Medical Strategy.
Develop innovative strategies and solutions that contribute to medical pre-launch and launch plans.
Support planning and execution of medical tactics in collaboration with the cross-functional Medical Matrix Team.
Leading advice-seeking activities and other external engagements to advance scientific and medical understanding of the appropriate development and use of medicines, the management of the disease, and patient care.
Engage with external communities to advance scientific and medical understanding including the appropriate development and use of our medicines, the management of disease, and patient care.
Collaborate with with cross-functional teams across clinical development, commercial, and medical affairs.
Support the GI clinical development program and provides input into the selection of investigator sponsored studies in alignment with the global franchises.
In partnership with the US Medical Affairs Lead, providing input to shape clinical development and evidence plans to support anticipated US Market needs.
Understands, interprets, and applies the US external environment and competitive knowledge to all medical activities and can define the patient journey.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Advanced Scientific or Clinical Degree (e.g. PhD, PharmD, or MD).
5 + years’ experience in medical affairs.
Experience in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies, with implementation of strategies specific to GI oncology.
Medical Pre-Launch and Launch experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Prior experience working in a US Medical Affairs role.
Business Acumen- ability to analyze external environment and translate to strategy.
Customer focused – ability to evaluate and understand the needs of the patient and healthcare ecosystem and build a customer-focused plan.
Building relationships – ability to work effectively with others, delegate appropriately and foster a culture of collaboration.
Enable and drive change – ability to influence to deliver results, proactively look for new opportunities and constantly anticipate the need for change.
Learning agility- must demonstrate deep understanding of the disease area, asset and competitive landscape.
Demonstrated understanding of medical affairs accountabilities for evidence generation, external engagement and advice seeking.
Strong organizational, planning, and business acumen skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
