What will be your role?

The Technical Support Engineer oversees providing expert technical support on the different technologies of the Company, in the field of Electronic Security:  CCTV, Intrusion, EAS and Access Control, both to the end customer of Retail & Building Solutions, and to the different departments of the company.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Aid in the sizing, installation, maintenance, and operation of all technological resources, and for the effective, timely and continuous delivery of technical support services, maintaining a focus on quality, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Provide technical support of the entire range of Johnson Controls products both in customer facilities and internal staff (call center, administrative support areas, Field Ops Technicians).
  • Development of new solutions and testing. Preparation of manuals and product guides.
  • Execute technical support functions to the systems of the organization and the services offered by the company, as required (maintenance, updates, technical evaluations, installation of new definitions and devices, production of programs or improvements developed by the brands, among others).
  • Resolution and attention to incidents and breakdowns (Level 2)
  • Assist field technicians in the installation and maintenance of installed technologies, according to business strategies.
  • Analysis of new product launch, validation, implementation, and training of teams in product deployments. Participate in the development of new projects.
  • Implementation of complex solutions for the end customer.
  • Visit to customer facilities during the installation and commissioning phase of the different installed technologies. On-site customer training.
  • Communication with HQ and factories for the resolution of technical product incidents.  Report to service providers and related areas any failure, technical, operational or security anomaly, ensuring their due follow-up and solution.
  • Ensure full customer satisfaction, performing an adequate support process: monitoring, documentation, scaling.

What we look for 

  • Technical education, for example vocational upper secondary qualification in electronics, information technology & communications, electrical engineering, or automation technology.
  • Previous technical experience in EAS and RFID technology.
  • Willingness to travel internationally over 30%.
  • English, advance level is a must.
