Leidos is seeking a driven Capture Manager to join our Digital Modernization sector’s Federal Civil IT Business Area with a focus on Health IT. This role offers a unique opportunity for rapid professional growth within a high-energy team. As a Capture Manager, you will have the chance to engage in multiple live bids and win strategies, gaining invaluable experience across our Health IT portfolio for federal customers, including HHS, SSA, and VA.

In this position, you will lead the pursuit of high-value opportunities, contributing to Leidos’ mission of delivering innovative technology solutions to our federal health customers. You’ll work closely with the Capture Director to develop strategies, manage capture teams, and interface with clients and partners to drive success in securing new contracts and expanding Leidos’ footprint within the Health IT sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the capture process, from opportunity identification through proposal delivery.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to qualify opportunities and transition pursuits into active captures.
  • Develop and execute capture strategies, including building and managing a high-performing capture team.
  • Engage in proposal development, bid strategy sessions, and proposal reviews to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to strengthen our position and build successful capture plans.
  • Manage the capture lifecycle, participating in gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme workshops, and after-action reviews to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Communicate progress, capture strategies, and resource needs to senior leadership to align support for capture activities.
  • Travel as required to support live capture activities at either Gaithersburg or Reston offices, with an initial expectation of one day per week on-site, increasing as needed during active bid periods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-8 years of experience in capture management, business development, or equivalent experience within federal services.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and Health IT services, particularly within HHS, SSA, and VA.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consensus, manage competing priorities, and execute capture strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a track record of working collaboratively across teams.

  • Proficiency in capture planning and execution, with a strategic focus on achieving high win rates.
  • Effective team management and motivation skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex capture environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple captures simultaneously and ensure high-quality proposal delivery.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
