Hitachi Rail's French entity is strengthening its teams and recruiting an Operations Director M/F on a permanent contract, for its Les Ulis site (91) – head office.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operational leader with a track record in the railway industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring seamless execution of our business strategy

Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership :

  • Define and implement the long-term strategic and operational direction of the supply chain, including flow, stock, and procurement planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Monitor procurement processes, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement and harmonization of practices.
  • Participate in strategic supplier negotiations and the implementation or renewal of framework agreements.

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee annual purchasing budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor procurement activities by product and service category.
  • Coordinate and align supply chain activities with internal stakeholders (projects, sales, production, purchasing).
  • Monitor the operational implementation of supply chain action plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide procurement expertise during tendering phases.
  • Interface with the Finance dept.
  • Interface and monitor the company's QHSE policy.
  • Oversee facility management activities to ensure employee well-being and safety.

Education/Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in supply chain management and procurement.

French & English fluency
