Director, Strategic Relationships -- South/Central America & North America NRC
The Strategic Relationships Director will be responsible for sales and servicing of Alliance Bernstein’s investment strategies focusing on key accounts in the North America NRC and Latin America businesses, across wire-houses (ML, UBS, MS, Scotia, RJA, etc.), private banks (Citi, JPM, Santander, etc.), regional banks and broker/dealers (e.g., SURA, Itau, Credicorp, etc.), and platforms (e.g., Pershing, Allfunds, etc.) and will do so in collaboration and full coordination with our U.S. SRG and Global GFI Teams, ensuring prioritization and seamless engagement.
The Strategic Relationships Director will serve as a relationship manager for Alliance Bernstein’s key accounts and manage all aspects of these “Home Office” relationships, including new business development, asset retention, increasing flows, expanding product offerings; the responsibility – including all asset-classes (e.g., Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Alternatives), both public and private, and across vehicles – and ensuring strong client satisfaction. The Strategic Relationships Director will also coordinate internally all sales, marketing and support services and understand the requirements of key accounts and develop programs to meet their needs.
Other responsibilities include:
Develop comprehensive understanding of priority clients, including their organizational structure, business needs, and opportunities for AB to be an accretive/strategic partner.
Work with Region CEO to develop strategic account plans, with key business objectives, and monitor performance against expected progress and established goals.
In coordination with SRG and GFI, build, maintain and expand strategic alliances with key client executives and intermediaries, sharing most current information and data regarding AB’s investment capabilities, solutions, and performance.
Manage the relationships with existing and new key national accounts, focusing on new business, asset retention, increasing flows, and expanding product offerings.
Ensure client satisfaction of distribution partners of AB’s products across vehicles, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, ETFs and sub-advised mandates.
Initiate, maintain, and expand all aspects of strategic partnerships, senior management relationships, selling agreements, investment capability and investment performance discussions.
In collaboration with SRG and GFI, prioritize work with research teams and business gatekeepers to identify and pursue opportunities to broaden product distribution through new platforms or additional products on existing platforms.
Serve as primary contact for all key distribution relationships; leverage CRM/Salesforce to maintain up to date Client Relationship information such as activity, people/platform changes.
Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders from investments teams, distribution across channels and geographies, GBDO (i.e., product development and management), and marketing.
Maintain broad and deep expertise of all the firm’s products and services through ongoing discussions with Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists.
Internal coordination of activities in key distribution partner platforms, such as ongoing research, marketing opportunities and support services, including legal, compliance and administration (e.g., Recertification's).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
8+ years of investment product sales experience required, with specific experience in the “off-shore/cross-border market”.
Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or must be obtained within 90 days of start.
Comprehensive understanding of investment products, across asset classes, and how to position them for maximum effectiveness with different audiences.
Ability to build and maintain working relationships, and strong collaboration and coordination with others. to achieve own/regional goals and overall AB objectives
Strong, seasoned sales and presentation skills in both small and larger group settings.
Ability to navigate large internal distribution, marketing, product, and other key internal stakeholders to drive business needs/goals.
High degree of energy, motivation, and ownership in setting own priorities.
Sustained superior business development, and sales production record.
Strong leadership and coaching/mentorship track-record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese ideal but not required.
