Junior SAP Business Development Manager/Sales Support

This role supports the generation of new business within the SAP Practice and assists with building new and leveraging existing business relationships, as well as assisting in the entire sales cycle.  This role will suit someone with a strong desire to pursue a career in an IT focused Sales role.  Previous Enterprise Applications experience or sales experience in an IT environment is desirable but not essential.

  • Collects information for leads for new business by growing new and existing accounts. Works in conjunction with existing client account staff to understand opportunities and communicates information to the pursuit team.
  • Works in conjunction with other members of the pursuit team including the capture and proposal staff, to support the sales cycle for delivery of customized business solutions to clients.
  • Gathers product and/or service offerings in company's horizontal and vertical markets to participate in the creation of innovative business development and sales strategies.
  • Supports management in negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business or alliance development needs.
  • Assists in developing strategic business relationships with client decision makers.
  • Interacts with internal department staff and external partners to assists with developing and implementing strategies, plans and business models.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Three or more years of business development or sales experience
  • Experience working with the technology industry
  • Experience working with finance and accounting
  • Experience working with company sales methodology and supporting tools and applications

  • Communication skills to listen to the client and articulate back for solutioning
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and prospective clients up to the Board level
