Role Summary

The Lead – Service Delivery, Data & Analytics is a senior individual contributor who serves as a technical delivery lead for complex Data & Analytics customer engagements.

This role works directly with airline customers and internal teams to execute well‑defined solutions, lead technical design and implementation, and ensure high‑quality delivery outcomes. The Lead partners closely with Principals and Directors on solution shaping and execution, while remaining hands‑on with design, coding, and delivery leadership.

The Lead role represents a step beyond Senior Engineer, with increased customer exposure, technical ownership, and execution accountability, while operating with some guidance on overall solution direction.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership

  • Participate in customer discussions to understand requirements, constraints, and delivery expectations.

  • Act as a senior technical point of contact for assigned customer engagements.

  • Build credibility with customer technical teams through strong execution and communication.

  • Support solution shaping and estimation activities led by Principals or Directors.

Hands‑On Technical Execution

  • Lead technical design and implementation for assigned delivery workstreams.

  • Write production‑quality Java and Python code for services, integrations, and data pipelines.

  • Review and guide implementation work by Senior and Mid‑level engineers.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across data, platform, and integration layers.

  • Ensure delivered solutions meet performance, reliability, and quality standards.

Delivery Ownership

  • Own execution for defined delivery scopes such as implementations, enhancements, or migrations.

  • Drive task planning, dependency tracking, and issue resolution for assigned workstreams.

  • Proactively identify risks and escalate when broader solution or customer impact is identified.

  • Ensure delivery aligns with agreed timelines, architecture, and platform constraints.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and SRE teams during delivery.

  • Provide delivery feedback and technical insights based on customer execution experience.

  • Contribute to improving delivery playbooks, tooling, and best practices.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong hands‑on Java development experience; working knowledge of Python.

  • Experience with cloud‑native architectures (Kubernetes, Docker, microservices).

  • Experience with data platforms, streaming, and event‑driven systems.

  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience delivering enterprise integrations and API‑based solutions.

  • Airline industry experience required.

  • Independently leads complex technical workstreams.

  • Requires limited guidance on execution, but collaborates on overall solution direction.

  • Demonstrates readiness to grow into Principal‑level end‑to‑end ownership.
