Location: Bogotá, Colombia
Work Model: Hybrid – On-site 3x per week
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect materials and services, including MRO, IT, facilities, and professional services.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and ethical standards.
- Conduct market research to identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers, assessing cost, quality, reliability, and risk.
- Lead commercial negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, contractual terms, and service-level agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Monitor supplier performance, proactively address issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support budget and productivity targets.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on spend analysis, market trends, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery of indirect materials and services that support business operations.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer, with a strong focus on indirect materials and services procurement.
- Solid negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing methodologies, and supply chain management principles.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience managing regional or LATAM supplier portfolios.
- Advanced data analysis skills (e.g., spend analytics, dashboards, or reporting tools).
- Bilingual proficiency in English, intermediate Portuguese.
- Experience driving cost optimization, productivity initiatives, or process improvements in procurement.
