Role and Responsibilities

As we evolve our team in line with business and operational needs, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and entrepreneurial paid media manager to assist in leading our paid media practice. This role will be critical for Samsung’s US Home Entertainment (HE) paid media efforts, helping enhance our brand and drive commercial growth through marketing and digital communications.

Manage and scale HE’s paid media operation across omni-channel paid media-- operations, strategy and planning, activation and analytics/measurement of full-funnel paid media across paid social, programmatic, CTV/OTT/OLV, Display/OLA, Audio, SEM, Media Sponsorship/Partnerships and demand generation. Core focus areas include:

  • For all HE (Nat’l Sales) Paid Media, leading the full-funnel strategy based on current business (product priorities, MS, needs) and historical learnings (digital effectiveness, measurement insights).

  • Lead with agency, the tactical ideation of paid media opportunities and paid media partnership to connect our target consumers with Samsung in innovative ways.

  • Lead in developing, updating and tracking work back schedules and timelines across important media deliverables (campaigns by partner), as well as custom partnership activations.

  • Develop and implement robust measurement frameworks to track campaign performance, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Lead in the performance analysis of ad campaign performance that drive prospects through the sales funnel while measuring the ROI and impact of each channel against overall budgets and aggressive sales goals

  • Provide analysis and recommendations of micro and macro-optimizations on an ongoing basis across channel, partner, placement and tactic.

  • Drive relevant opportunities to A/B test visual and copy assets.

  • Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and maximizing return on investment (ROI).

  • Lead in double-checking Invoices to planned spend, PO amount and delivery by partner on an on-going basis.

  • Pull delivery from Tableau, Market Share from NPD, and working with PCG for necessary inputs.

  • Slide development to report to Management (Weekly Sales slides, Marketing Calendar, Digital Analytics Tracker; S.com Weekly Meeting)

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, product marketing, creative, and e-commerce, to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing campaigns.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic media and digital marketing, with a strong focus on paid media strategy and execution.

  • Proven track record of success in building innovative media strategy that drove marketing transformation and business growth

  • Track record of building and optimizing paid media campaigns to achieve business objectives.

  • Proven experience owning and managing comprehensive paid media strategies as well as planning for day-to-day operations

  • Deep understanding of full-funnel and performance marketing principles and digital media landscape.

  • A strong understanding and proficiency with eCommerce and marketing platforms, and the ability to interpret and understand performance metrics

  • Ability to lead external media agency partner(s) to deliver the highest quality of media strategy, plans,     measurement, attribution to the business (sales, revenue).

  • Experience managing budgets with the financial acumen to appreciate the probable impact of marketing strategies and to make decisions that benefit the business’ bottom line

  • Retail Knowledge or Channel management a plus
