In this position, you will assist our MacKay River operations in Fort McMurray by ensuring the daily operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and reliably within the designated area.Minimum Requirements:
Two or more years of refinery experience
Passed the 4th Class Operating Engineer Exams (4A and 4B)
Completed 4th Class, 3rd Class, or 2nd Class ticket would be preferred
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
In-depth knowledge of all regulatory ABSA requirements
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that plant policies are followed
Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations
Ensure plant-related issues beyond your scope are appropriately flagged to your leader
Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings to your leader in a timely manner
Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel as required
Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commission
Ensure the shift change is communicated well
Maintain housekeeping at a high level
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our MacKay River site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)
This position is safety sensitive
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
