The Intern, Operations and Strategy is an integral member of the BDC Capital Operations and Strategy team and is provided unprecedented access to the portfolio of the most active VC/PE investor in Canada. This position entails supporting BDC Capital to provide strategic analysis, portfolio reporting, systems management, and transactional support to achieve operational and strategic objectives.

In this Operations and Strategy intern role with BDC Capital, you will do:

STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & REPORTING

  • Produce strategic insights on BDC Capital’s portfolio and the state of Canada’s VC & PE ecosystems, leveraging BDC’s proprietary data sets

  • Prepare executive briefing notes for senior management

iLEVEL SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

  • Support the configuration of iLEVEL, BDC Capital’s industry-leading portfolio monitoring tool

  • Participate in the collection of quarterly fund investment financial data

  • Monitor and correct data quality in iLEVEL across the various data sets

TRANSACTION SUPPORT

  • Support the BDC Capital investment team by taking minutes at Investment Committee meetings, and performing market research and due diligence

  • Back up the team on administration of investment files: authorizations, amendments, disbursements, entering cap tables in the Framework PE back-office system

You wish to meet us? You are currently studying finance or accounting, at the bachelor’s or master’s level, and you have an interest in and/or knowledge of Venture Capital? We want to meet you!

You must be registered to continue your studies in Winter 2025. Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
