About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Clinical Associate Lecturer to teach into the Nursing discipline in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. In this role, you will develop your expertise in clinical teaching, clinical research, and service and engagement. You will be supported by more senior academic staff with the aim of increasing degree of autonomy over time.
Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Contributing to formal and informal teaching activities, assisting with developing course material, undertaking clinical teaching, preparing assessment materials and marking students’ assessments, and adhering to university teaching rules.
Research: Demonstrates active engagement in the responsible conduct of research, contributes to publications in high quality outlets, working with colleagues on joint research projects, contributing to transfer of knowledge, developing an emerging research profile, and utilising best practice research methodologies.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervising Honours and HDR students under the guidance of a senior academic.
Citizenship and Service: Collaborating in the unit and supporting in the absence of other staff, contributing to internal service roles and administrative processes, and developing partnerships by cultivating relationships with external professional bodies.

Completion or near completion of an advanced professional qualification or Higher Degree by Research in Nursing.
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
An emerging profile in clinical teaching and/or clinical research in the discipline area.
Industry knowledge and experience in a general or specialist capacity.
Evidence of quality clinical teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate (as appropriate) and/or professional entry level and collaboration in course coordination.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and strong contributions towards external activities that foster links within the profession within the relevant specialty.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, education check, mandatory immunisations and AHPRA registration.
