Are you ready to grow your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As a Level II Extrusion Operator at our Beverly, MA facility, you’ll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality components that support Medtronic’s life-changing mission.
This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a production setting, value teamwork, and are eager to develop new skills in a supportive, safety-focused workplace. Second shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Set up and operate extrusion equipment to produce high-quality tubing and components.
  • Conduct quality control inspections: measure, test, and visually inspect products using precision testing equipment to identify and address defects.
  • Perform basic technical troubleshooting to ensure consistent product output.
  • Accurately complete required production paperwork and maintain detailed records.
  • Collaborate with team members to support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Manage physical tasks, including moving finished products for inspection and lifting raw materials (up to 50 lbs) for machine loading.
  • Stand and move throughout the shift as part of the production process.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided.

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation.
  • Familiarity with extrusion manufacturing, quality inspection, or safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when completing documentation and quality checks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Experience using microscopes, MicroVu, Instron, or similar testing equipment for product evaluation (e.g., tensile strength, burst, or crush testing).
  • Physical ability to stand, move, and lift materials as needed.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production setting.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$44,800.00 - $67,200.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
