Opportunity Highlights

  • Lead an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN Residency Program with 20 residents (5 residents per class).
  • Maintain a meaningful clinical practice while shaping the education and development of future OB/GYN physicians.
  • Advance a community-based academic program through educational innovation, faculty development, and physician mentorship.

  • Partner with Women's Health and Graduate Medical Education leadership to advance curriculum, faculty development, program strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strengthen collaboration across physicians, nursing, midwifery, and interdisciplinary care teams to enhance both resident education and patient care.
  • Promote quality improvement, patient safety, scholarly activity, and evidence-based practice within a community-based academic environment.
  • Support faculty engagement and development to strengthen the educational experience for residents.
  • Maintain accreditation excellence while helping guide the continued success and future growth of the residency program.

Clinical Practice Highlights

  • Maintain an active 50% clinical practice at Rochester General Hospital and affiliated outpatient locations.
  • Opportunity to develop your own patient panel while teaching residents in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.
  • Participate in a balanced 1:5 general OB call schedule, including approximately one call weekend per month.
  • Benefit from dedicated OB Hospitalist/Laborist coverage and collaborative midwifery care.
  • Practice in a comprehensive obstetrical environment where certified nurse midwives manage approximately 30% of deliveries.
  • Provide care within a system supported by a dedicated OB Emergency Department.
