About the Role

We are looking for actuarial associate to provide actuarial services covering all aspects of the insurance business and financial control, including valuation calculations, statutory reporting, risk assessment and premium setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Actuarial Model Development & Data Management

  • Deliver high-quality outputs related to actuarial model development and data management
  • Collaborate closely with HK Pricing, Investment and Reporting teams, as well as Group Office and other internal departments, to interpret and translate business requirements into actuarial solutions
  • Independently develop and maintain the Prophet modelling platform for AIA Hong Kong, ensuring compliance with the model control governance framework
  • Support the implementation of actuarial initiatives by conducting financial and strategic impact analyses
  • Assist in managing actuarial data to support financial analysis and reporting

Digitalization & Process Enhancement

  • Drive the digitalization of actuarial solutions and processes by leveraging technology and digital tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Apply advanced data analytics to generate insights and foresights across the actuarial value chain, supporting strategic decision-making
  • Additional Responsibilities o Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to meet operational or business needs

Provide support for other actuarial projects as required

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University / College graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, Finance or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated progress toward actuarial qualification
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with basic project management capabilities
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Knowledge of insurance product and financial reporting basis (e.g. IFRS17, Embedded Value, Economic Capital) is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and VBA, and familiarity with actuarial software (e.g. Prophet) is an advantage
