About the role:
The Technical Business Analysis, Manager engages with diverse stakeholders to capture both business and technology requirements for defined solutions. This role aims to identify and analyze business needs, recommend improvements, and translate requirements into application specifications, contributing to Takeda's mission.

* Engage with stakeholders to assess and anticipate user/customer needs, expectations, and pain points
* Provide actionable recommendations for improving the user/customer experience based on empirical data

* Develop and maintain written and project-related artifacts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle

THE OPPORTUNTY

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take ownership of business analysis activities of medium to high complexity, working closely with stakeholders who will rely on your expertise and judgment. You will lead the gathering, analysis and documentation of digital products, while also delegating less complex tasks to junior colleagues and supporting their development. You will keep documentation for your assigned projects  accurate and up to date, ensuring it reflects reality and supports smooth delivery. In your day-to-day work, you will partner closely with development teams, product/platform owners, QA and other key stakeholders to validate user stories, review QA results and drive high-quality outcomes for our digital solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently on business analysis tasks of high complexity, delivering outputs according to organizational standards.
• Gather, analyse and document software specifications and business requirements (discussions, workshops, interviews, refinement meetings).
• Oversee end-to-end development and delivery of digital products ensuring alignment with client expectations and business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal project teams, Business, technical teams and external vendors, to facilitate smooth transition to Service Delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for service-related inquiries.
• Monitor the progress of Service Delivery activities, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery, while also being willing to engage with complex applications.
• Conduct regular reviews with clients to evaluate satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
• Work on multiple tasks simultaneously, strengthening analytical, task management, and communication skills.
• Keep track of unplanned internal and clients’ tasks arising from any developments to existing or new products.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with GxP and Non-GxP standards
• Propose feasible functional solutions to meet business needs
• Collaborate with development for requirements feasibility and ambiguity resolution
• Decompose business needs into clear specifications and smaller blocks such as user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain, update and manage documentation and analytical outputs (software specifications, data flow diagrams, components) for assigned applications/parts of software.
• Perform gap analysis of databases and document business logic differences
• Prepare and present analysis results and reports to the Project Manager / direct manager and other stakeholders.
• Provide continuous updates during project delivery; communicate changes, risks, issues and ambiguities in a timely manner.
• Mentor and support junior members of chapter when necessary.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must-have requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis.
• 4+ years of experience in a Lean/Agile development environment.
• Experience in API design and integration.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
• Strong end-to-end BA skills: gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements, create process flows.
• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proficient in SQL and analysing data in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Knowledge on FIGMA, BPMN, UML including modelling tools.
• Experience working with multiple systems and documenting data flows / system interactions.
• Highly organized; able to break down complex problems and set priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Nice to have requirements

• Certification in business analysis area (CBAP, BCS, other).
• Life Science/Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry background preferred.
• Experience in Medical device software documentation.
• Familiarity / understanding of: Databricks, Power BI, Jira, AWS, FTP/sFTP.
