As a ‘Director of Software Engineering’ you will lead Fintech AP Disputes, Exceptions and Self-services transform and build large architecture on cloud-native micro-services. You are a hands-on person and key participant in ensuring the right architecture and design for high performance and scalable software applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart customers and large number of sellers. You will build and manage a team of Engineering Managers, Software development engineers, and architects. You will provide technical leadership to achieve project goals & partner with product management to drive product strategy and deliver the product roadmap. You will be mentoring the managers and senior engineers in your team and build a high-performance culture. We are looking to bring more intellectually curious individuals who are passionate about technology in general.


About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores, Supply Chain, EBS Finance and DC/CC supporting supplier payments and processing. The team focuses on experiences that are specific to suppliers and how we handle claims and payment management as we provide insights and details on processing payments. Job Description

• Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer & seller needs.
• Work with Java and related open-source technologies, relational databases e.g. Azure SQL, non-relational and distributed databases e.g. Cassandra, Cosmos DB & Elastic Search, caching technologies e.g. Couchbase and Memcached, integration technologies e.g. Java Messaging Services (JMS) and Kafka etc. to design and develop robust high-performance and scalable applications for use within the product ecosystem of Walmart.
• Help leadership in defining technology vision for the team for each financial year.
• Work closely with Technical Project Managers to track progress, identify risks and mitigation, provide engineering leadership support for successful delivery of projects and programs.
• Define the development capacity plan & hiring plan for each financial year.
• Supervise multiple Engineering Managers and associates reporting to the engineering managers.
• Define and execute associate training and development plan, career plan, goal settings, regular performance reviews and feedback, development opportunities, performance appraisal and promotions.
• Operating with excellence – Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
• Continuously improve, optimize, and identify opportunities for improved software development life cycle.

• Extensive experience building services using back-end technologies (Java, Spring, Hibernate).

• Experience in Order Fulfillment and Shipping solutions domain.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
