Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Dev-Ops Engineer to join the development of a new IP.   
 
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! 
 

You’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.  

 
You’ll help us by 

  • Define and support platform-level and resource management initiatives 

  • Maintain and improve governance and security tooling and various internal systems. 

  • Help build out internal best practices around public cloud usage and enablement. 

  • Work with other engineering teams to help them build applications in the Cloud. 

  • Work closely with other build, production and other infrastructure teams on ensuring smooth migration to platform. 

You’re awesome because you have 

  • Solid SRE/DevOps/Platform engineering experience. 

  • Experience with some of the following: public cloud governance, Cloud FinOps, distributed compute environments, serverless compute, application development, big data analytics, cloud computing including containerization, hosted services and multi-tenant cloud infrastructures. 

  • Programming experience preferably with Python or Go. 

  • Experience working with declarative tools for defining cloud resources, terraform and Helm. 

  • Good knowledge of SQL, preferably BigQuery. 

  • The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team 

  • Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude 

  • Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines 

  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback 

 

Bonus points for 

  • Excellent knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. Certified Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or similar. 

  • Experience rolling out changes to public cloud governance - GCP org policies or, IAM controls 

  • Familiarity with modern cloud-native architectures. 

  • Knowledge of monitoring systems and frameworks, Google Cloud operations suite, Prometheus or Grafana. 

  • Knowledge of BI/reporting tools 

  • Experience dealing with hybrid environments with multiple dependencies. 

  • Strong Linux and computer networking expertise is beneficial. 

  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
