The Team:

We are looking for forward-thinking candidates with a passion for creating streamlined, responsive applications that are both pervasive and agile. With a platform-centric mindset, you will be at the forefront of crafting innovative solutions that safeguard our marketplace. Your proven expertise in enriching structured and unstructured datasets will be instrumental in extracting the pivotal insights necessary to mitigate risks and curtail financial losses. Working along with Data scientists, Product Managers and Industry vendors within and outside eBay to stop fraudsters on its tracks.
What you will accomplish:
Building large scale applications, low latency API’s, data pipelines, and a high focus on capability oriented architecture.
Building machine learning models to generate insights leveraged across eBay.
Oversee aspects of the software lifecycle : design, development, testing and experimentation.
Partnering with architects, business leaders and industry experts in devising strategy and solutions.
Mentoring and leading with example for the team junior members to lead them to success.
What you will bring:
Self-driven and ability to get things done. A constant desire to improve and learn.
Exceptional programming skills in Java / Scala
Experience building and consuming horizontally scalable RESTful API’s, GraphQL and distributed systems
Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Flink, and Kafka
Experience with AI/ML Technology is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years (or) a MS in Computer Science and 7+ years of software design and relevant experience
