Our SDG team in Chatsworth, CA is eagerly looking for a Quality Manufacturing Inspector to join their dynamic team. You report to our Quality Manager and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment.
As a Quality Manufacturing Inspector, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:
Function as an aid to the manufacturing process, inspecting, monitoring and determining the quality of processes, outputs and components
Provide general CMM inspection support for fabricated or machined parts from various departments as required in the shop.
Run CMM inspection programs and perform manual inspection for simple and complex parts, components, and assemblies while ensuring the integrity of CMM inspection results.
Assist machinists in the use and care of inspection equipment, interpretation of drawings and other quality related activities
Conduct in-process quality inspection in compliance with specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements; troubleshooting and/or reporting deviations and defects to leadership
To be considered for this Quality Manufacturing Inspector role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
A 2-year technical degree OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
3+ years of quality experience inside a manufacturing machine shop
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
A firm understanding of basic quality terminology, definitions and concepts
Familiarity with and understanding of statistical terms and techniques, measurement terminology, and calibration tools
Experience with Zeiss is preferred

Salary Range Transparency:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
