Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Systems Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. In this role you will be supporting our sustainment and modernization programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform hands-on integration and testing of complex systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments.
Generate and update system and sub-system level specifications, ensure verification traceability, develop test plans, perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
Generate technical documentation for engineering deliverables throughout a full program lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, prototyping, fabrication, verification testing and sell off.
Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing of individual units before all system components are available and for troubleshooting and repairing failed units.
Identify and implement process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality of deliverables.
Basic Qualifications for Engineer Systems:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited school with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 0 years.
Experience in system integration and/or testing.
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages.
Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.
Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Radar or EW principles.
Experience with schematic development and circuit card design.
Knowledge of embedded systems design and implementation.
Experience with deriving system/software requirements and developing test plans and procedures.
Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
