Applicants for this Finance Analyst II position will have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States. Due to the needs of the business, ideal schedule in Central Standard Time. 8am - 5pm CST. Travel to Baton Rouge, LA for team trainings or meetings are possible, but infrequent

Position Purpose: Support financial excellence and operational integrity by identifying and addressing eligibility discrepancies, claims payment issues, and emerging cost trends. Collaborate closely with actuarial, clinical, and product teams to enhance rate setting, forecasting, and contract performance. Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve margins through targeted QIA efforts and strategic insights. Provide financial leadership for emerging products, with a focus on Ambetter, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainable growth.

In this Finance Analyst role, you will:

  • Analyze financial performance and provide variance explanations against plan, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Maintain financial models and dashboards to support ongoing analysis and reporting needs.
  • Develop new models, dashboards, or reports that highlight opportunities for potential initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate key business drivers and trends impacting financial results to Finance and/or Actuary leadership.
  • Support the Medicaid CFO by preparing materials and insights for Quarterly Business Reviews and other executive presentations.
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders, corporate partners, and external state/governmental governing bodies

Preferred:

  • Advanced excel skills:  Pivot table, Power BI, V-Lookup, Excel queries
  • Experience in coding (SQL preferred)
  • Experience sorting and filtering dashboards to extract insights
  • Healthcare / Managed Care experience / Actuarial Science / accounting/Finance background

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of financial or data analysis experience.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year
