What you will be doing
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems and structures.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Ensure data integrity and security in all database environments.
- Monitor database systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Review existing application DB PL/SQL and Stored procedures to recommend any improvement. Review and guide the rest of the development team to improve solutions.
- Execution of integration test and validation of test results, extending product support for Production and UAT.
- Nice to have - Installs/Configure and Maintains SQL Server(2016,2017, 2019) and manages older version of SQL Server(2012, 2014).
What you bring
- 6+ years of strong experienceof SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server)
- Good knowledge on SQL Server Architecture.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL programming language and stored procedures.
- Experience in database model design and development.
- Experience with database design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with performance tuning techniques to optimize database performance.
- Ability to vaticinate potential issues or bottlenecks in the database environment.
- Knowledge of high availability strategies for database systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Working experience preferably in the financial services industry. Knowledge of end-to-end systems, development life cycles, i.e., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile and other modern approaches to software development. Experience of using project management tools like JIRA and Confluence etc
- Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
- Knowledege on Standalone, Failover Clustering and Always on environments.
