Range: $18.50 - $28.50
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to support the organization’s GAME ON strategy and work in a dynamic environment as a valued member of the Government, Stakeholder & Community Engagement department. The Community Programs Assistant will support the Community Programs team with the planning, communications and logistical requirements for delivery of OLG’s community programs and supporting communications, including Community Sponsorship, Employee Fundraising and Volunteer Programs. This position is based in our Sault Ste. Marie head office.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Assist in planning, logistics and execution of OLG’s community sponsorship events
Coordinate requirements for fundraising and volunteer programs including assisting in campaign development, event planning, tracking participation, compiling post program evaluation reports.
Assist in planning and logistics of employee participation in community events eg., festivals, parades
Track statistics, metrics and performance for departmental programs and develop reports for Senior Management
Assist with development of internal and external marketing communications
Prepare, review and modify general templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel tracking workbooks and other correspondence materials as needed to support Community Programs
Organize and and assemble event signage and items for shipping and distribution
Coordinate financial processing requirements for department budget
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Currently enrolled in a Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or similar program at an Ontario College/University
Curious and personable with strong public relations instincts, marketing and communication skills
Event planning and execution interest/experience
Familiar with fundraising and/or sponsorship programs involving community organizations
Experience in creating marketing related communications, particularly social media
Advanced experience in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Experience with database entry and management
Customer service orientated
Comfortable working as part of a versatile team
The passion and hunger to learn, high attention to detail, and strong time-management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Work collaboratively within an agile environment
