Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer Manger to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Python, Apache Spark, SQL, AWS, and big data technologies. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and make a significant impact by helping us manage and process our large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines using Python and Apache Spark.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources into our data warehouse and big data platforms.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across our data systems.
  • Cloud Data Solutions: Work with AWS services such as S3, EMR, Lambda to build and optimize our data infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data engineering technologies and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
  • Big Data Tools: Basic understanding and some hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS services, especially those related to data storage and processing.
  • Database Knowledge: Understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
