Job Description:

At DXC Technology Polska, we are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join our German-speaking Java team, working mainly from Wrocław, in a flexible hybrid working model.

In this role, you will support the development of customized software solutions for public sector clients. You will work closely with experienced developers and customer architects, gaining hands-on experience in enterprise-grade Java applications within a stable, international environment.

German language skills at a minimum B2 level are required, along with good English skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of software requirements in Java under guidance of senior team members
  • Contributing to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing applications
  • Collaborating with international development teams and customer stakeholders
  • Assisting with technical documentation, specifications, and code comments in German and English, depending on the project context

Required skills and experience

You should bring:

  • Basic knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and relational databases
  • Initial exposure to web technologies or Java frameworks (e.g. through internships, university projects, bootcamps, or personal projects)
  • German language skills at a minimum B2 level and good English skills
  • Strong motivation to learn, grow, and develop as a software developer

Nice to have (but not required)

  • Interest in or basic knowledge of frameworks such as JEE, Hibernate, Spring
  • Basic understanding of APIs and automated testing concepts
  • First exposure to DevOps or cloud concepts

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field or
  • Completed technical or vocational education in IT or
  • Equivalent practical experience (e.g. internships, academic or personal projects, bootcamps)
  • Willingness to continuously develop technical and language skills
