Job Title: Loan Verification Specialist Agent

Job Summary
The Loan Verification Specialist Agent is responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of loan applications and associated documentation. This role involves close interaction with customers, financial institutions, and internal teams to ensure that all loan information is accurate and compliant with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Application Review

  • Review loan applications to verify that all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Cross-check details provided by applicants against documentation such as income statements, credit reports, and identification.

Document Verification

  • Verify the authenticity of submitted documents and ensure they meet the criteria set by the lending institution.
  • Contact employers, financial institutions, and other relevant parties to confirm information provided by loan applicants.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Ensure all loan verification processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in loan verification standards and practices to maintain compliance.

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate with loan applicants to clarify information, request additional documentation, and provide updates on the verification process.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

Data Entry and Record Keeping

  • Accurately enter verified loan information into the company’s loan processing system.
  • Maintain organized records of all verifications and communications related to each loan application.

Problem Resolution

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in loan applications that could delay processing.
  • Work with internal teams, including underwriting and customer service, to address and resolve any loan verification concerns.

Performance Metrics

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly performance targets related to loan verification volume, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Contribute to team goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.


Skills & Qualifications

  •  Post-secondary education in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service or call center environment is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of loan products, financial documentation, and the loan application process.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to loan verification and processing.
