Senior Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (Sr. DNEA)

Position Summary

The Senior Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (Sr. DNEA) is responsible for analyzing, designing, specifying, and supporting complex communications and network infrastructures to enable intelligence collection, network characterization, and mission success. This role applies advanced technical expertise to evaluate communication systems, network architectures, data flows, transmission methods, and associated technologies including satellite communications, line-of-sight systems, fiber-optic networks, telephony systems, public address systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) data transmission environments.

Under general supervision, the Sr. DNEA performs highly complex analytical and engineering assignments requiring independent judgment, technical innovation, and the adaptation of established methodologies to address emerging challenges. The position supports mission operations through technical analysis, network exploitation assessments, intelligence reporting, and the development of innovative solutions to complex network-related problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and characterize complex digital networks, communication architectures, and data transmission systems.
• Design, specify, and support communications infrastructure solutions across multiple technologies and environments.
• Conduct network exploitation analysis to identify network structures, relationships, protocols, vulnerabilities, and operational characteristics.
• Evaluate communication systems including satellite, line-of-sight, fiber-optic, telephony, and SCADA-related networks.
• Plan, schedule, and execute technical projects requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of analytical and engineering techniques.
• Develop innovative approaches to solve complex technical challenges involving unconventional requirements, conflicting design constraints, or integration issues.
• Perform detailed analysis of network traffic, communication protocols, and data flows to produce actionable intelligence and technical assessments.
• Author technical reports, assessments, and briefings for operational, engineering, and leadership audiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams, intelligence partners, and mission stakeholders to support data sharing and operational objectives.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to junior analysts, engineers, and technical personnel.
• Support mission planning, operational execution, and capability development through advanced technical analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with security, operational, and engineering standards across all assigned activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; typically 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in network analysis, communications engineering, cyber operations, intelligence analysis, or related fields.
• Experience analyzing communication systems and network architectures.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, routing, switching, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience evaluating and interpreting complex technical data and developing analytical assessments.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Digital Network Exploitation (DNE), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Cyber Intelligence, or Intelligence Community missions.
• Familiarity with SCADA, industrial control systems, and critical infrastructure communications.
• Experience with network mapping, protocol analysis, and data flow characterization.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance preferred.
