Position Summary

This position is to lead the Veeva CRM Administration and Development Team (from offshore) who has a strong hands-on technical administration, development, Coding, and end-to-end implementation experience in Salesforce.com & Veeva CRM.

Position Responsibilities*

  • Strong hands-on technical administration, development, end-to-end implementation experience in Salesforce.com & Veeva CRM (Configuration & Customization covering Security models, Profiles, Objects, Pages, Apex, Components, Workflows, Triggers, Flows, SSO, Permission Sets, Reports/dashboards, APEX Data loader and Integrations).

  • Lead the CRM development team from offshore managing group of developers/administrators and should be able to effectively coordinate with other resources in onshore/nearshore across different locations globally.

  • Work closely with offshore & onshore leads to strategize the growth plan and actively involve for new talent hires from the local market.

  • Plan and execute an accelerated process to coach/groom the new developers and onboard them quickly to the mainstream.

  • Regularly connect with the onshore counterpart and the other peers across other delivery centers globally and ensure all the deliverables are aligned to the final delivery goals.

  • Strong technical expertise to support and lead architecture, design, build, assemble tech components, testing and deployment for variety of business requirements.

  • Strong desire/capability to quickly learn new technologies, self-contribute & able to lead the team.

  • Build and leverage reusable code & libraries for global harmonization and future reuse/extension.

  • Partner with the testing team and cross-functional teams to ensure applications/components are fully integrated and functional end-to-end.

  • Lead the reviews, tracking, and fixing of any defects or performance problems discovered in testing.

  • Lead the development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones.

  • Prototype the new offerings/solutions/functionalities and showcase to the business/capability stakeholders to help them to easily visualize the outcome and effectively plan for the final implementations.

  • Understand business drivers that will impact performance, and effectively instrument on the right solution.

  • Analyze existing processes and make best practice & improvement recommendations to streamline any of the existing processes which should be harmonized globally.

  • Should be able to work directly with multiple stakeholders and work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously from technical perspective.

  • Should be able to demonstrate and explain the functionality outcome of solution implementations.

  • Should be able to clearly document Knowledge Base Docs, SOPs, Solutions, and guidelines for local and global teams.

  • Effective and clear communication from/to the technical team for any issues that may affect the deliverables & timelines and outline an agreeable alternate plan.

  • Coordinate and ensure all the standard documentations such as SDD, Configuration tracker, Deployment checklists, Change Requests, Testing, ITQM, SIS/SIP, etc. are documented and continuously maintained.

  • Ensure to effectively use the CI/CD processes to streamline and integrate with the Agile ways of working/delivery.

  • Ensure to follow all the best practices in every stage of SDLC, and consistent architecture practices across deliverables using IT operating model and EA frameworks are followed by instituting the Configuration management principles on the Veeva commercialization.

  • Provide technical expertise, guidance & coaching to the technical team.

  • Review deployment plan, including the full SDLC plan and schedules and lead to completion.

  • Should be able to coordinate & Lead for code and quality management reviews.

  • Partner with the upstream & downstream Integration teams for the end-to-end implementations.

  • Should be able to closely work with multiple teams spread across different locations globally (BMS and Service providers).

  • Ensure all the Vendor engagements are in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or other business requirements.

  • Identifies and participates in capturing the interdependencies between all configuration items to build and facilitate the effective evaluation of the impact and risks associated with each change request both independently and collectively.

  • Leverage process improvement experience to create and implement global CRM processes.

  • Regularly connect with the peers across multiple delivery centers globally and ensure all the solutions/deliverables are aligned to the final delivery goals.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 5+ years of total IT experience in Software Development, Administration and Support.

  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce.com through Configuration & Customization covering Security models, Profiles, Objects, Pages, Apex, Components, Workflows, Triggers, Flows, SSO, Permission Sets, Reports/dashboards, APEX Data-loader, and Integrations.

  • 3 years of experience in (i) Software Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, (ii) different testing standards and guidelines, (iii) Validated and regulated systems in Life Science domain, and (iv) Cloud and native applications.

  • 1 year of experience in implementation/working of SFDC Lightning.

  • At least 2 active SFDC Certifications.

  • At least 1 active Veeva Certification.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and communication skills.

Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:

  • Working experience in Veeva CRM through Configuration & Customization covering the major CRM functionalities - such as Account management, Affiliations, Product Metrics, MCCP, Sampling, Approved Email, Engage Capabilities, Product management, User & Territory Management, Media contents, Call/eMIRF Recording, Suggestions, Surveys and iRep configurations, Integrations.

  • Prior experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industry.

  • Experience using any CI/CD tool & processes to manage end-to-end development/deployment cycle.

  • Veeva & SFDC CRM Certifications.

  • Veeva Vault Certification/experience.

  • Experience using any of industry standard Agile tooling suites (e.g., Jira), and working knowledge in requirement grooming sessions, Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospective, tasks creation, and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with a broad matrix team and ability to influence others and achieve results.
