What’s involved in the General Labour role:

The Island Farms plant is looking for General Labour employees to support their Warehouse department.

Working in a cooler environment, duties will include assisting the department in the day-to-day activities.

What you need to join our team:

• Class 1 preferre
• Warehouse experience in a Cooler/Freezer environment preferred
• Qualified to operate mobile equipment including swing reach forklift, reach truck forklift and pallet jack preferred
• Able to work with and without direct supervision
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and be an active team member
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to record and maintain all records and other documentation
• Able to organize, coordinate and prioritize work to ensure efficiency
• Physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
• Experience with inventory counts and control procedures preferred

This is a 24/7 operation - candidates must have flexibility in their availability and able to work days, afternoons, and night shifts.
