The __________ Analyst, quickly investigates claims to determine if the insured person qualifies for short-term benefits and works with them on a treatment plan to return to work as soon as responsibly possible. The ____________ Analyst supports our mission of helping our customers rebuild their lives after an unexpected event or illness happens while following corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements. Location: Start Date: Training Hours: Length of Training: Work Hours After Training: RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers • Work within a fast-paced environment that directly interacts with internal and external customers to retrieve or relay information relevant to the _______ claim • Utilize critical thinking and mathematical aptitude to gather information, apply sound reasoning and draw appropriate conclusion • Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment, with management oversight • Help to create a positive team environment that achieves Group Benefit Claims Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and objectives QUALIFICATIONS: • 1+ years of experience providing quality customer service is required • 1+ years of claim experience is a plus • HS Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus • Medical terminology experience is a plus • Highly-organized problem solver • Professional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to excel in an ever changing high-volume environment • Readily able to champion change and innovation • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy while maintaining productivity targets in a fast-paced environment • Ability to thrives in a structured team environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously • Travel Requirements: As part of the multi-week new hire training program, you may be required to travel out of state for up to two (2) weeks. All travel expenses are paid for by The Hartford. • Training Requirements: As a condition of employment, you will be required to successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Course and, upon completion, obtain a passing score on the final course assessment. Continued employment with The Hartford is contingent upon you successfully passing the exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the New Hire Training.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$40,685- $61,027The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
